Living Scenarios by Baolab

Visions that reveal themselves to the senses

The spaces we inhabit have never been mere functional containers but expressions of our being, our thoughts and our imagination. They are places composed of a multitude of objects in dialogue with each other, where it is not so much the object itself that has a narrative value, but its interface with the other, whether material or immaterial.

Dreamscape

Landscape in transition between dream, nature and matter

2021-2025
Weaving and embroidery
Textile yarns from company production waste and errors, iron wire

At the heart of the architectural space, a living, vibrant landscape takes shape, suspended between the boundaries of the visible and the imaginary. A work that does not represent but becomes: an impossible garden, a terrestrial coral reef, an ecosystem in perpetual metamorphosis. Nothing is fixed. Everything changes, blooms, dissolves, re-emerges in new forms. Metamorphosis is the very language of the work.

CASAMALIA

The project is born from the desire to preserve the memory of a house that held the story of a past era. The various textures of the wallpaper and tiles clearly depicted the historical period of the 1960s, a treasure too rich in beauty to be destroyed and erased from memory. From these emotions arises the need to fix
the past in time, applying it to the intervention of the present. Nora Santonastaso, known on social media as “Design Outfit”, is an architect who “personalizes homes for people, offering a service that is tailored to each individual.” In line with the meaning of her nickname, a series of portraits of her were taken in the house before its renovation. Successively, the different textures of each room were applied to her dress, blending the environment onto her. Just as if each room were an Outfit.
